Uh, frankly I’d be MORE worried about that “Sinclair Gasoline” outfit.

I’m reminded of that hilarious early ’90s TV show “Dinosaurs” with the dino-father named Earl Sinclair.

Wouldn’t that be like having a label on you as to where your body should be sent after your demise?

I’m surprised that he didn’t go with a Sinclair logo.

Exxon; I had a VW diesel that VW bought back at almost my original purchase price. They cheated on the pollution tests. I had a big check in my pocket. I had just been laid off a few months earlier and I didn’t need a big sedan. On the VW lot I spotted a used 2015 Nissan Leaf and test drove it. It is an electric car. I bought it with a huge discount because no one seems to like them. My wife thought I was crazy. I had an electrician put in a charging station in the garage. I have solar panels and most of the public electric energy is hydro here so electricity is cheap. After a few weeks, my wife and I were using that Leaf 100% of the time. She likes it. I like it. So here is my dastardly part of the story. I bought Exxon stock with the left over cash from the VW. Exxon pays a hefty dividend and trades at a discount. So every time a diesel pick-up truck blows big dark exhaust at me (sometimes on purpose, I think) I smile and wave, smile and wave….

Incorrect future. Oil did not come from animal life. More like Flora than Fauna.

“Sinclair” was part of BP. They gave out cool dinosaur toys. They also washed your windshield and checked your oil. So… That has all gone the way of the Dinosaur.

I guess I’m alone in being saddened by the upcoming global catastrophe back then caused by an asteroid. Mass extinction doesn’t sound like something funny to me.

Guess I’ll take this strip as an irony.

In my town there was a Sinclair gas station in the 70s. It shut down by the 80s & a restaurant opened in it, which they named Sinclair’s in honor of the station. They opened 2 more, but the main location in the old gas station & another on the lake closed in 2018, but the 1st satellite location is still open after 30 yrs in 2023.
