When I went out this morning, I sure didn’t go in a topless mini-dress. I put a coat on my dog, boots on me, plus also (on me) a hat, scarf, long coat, gloves. I keep a covid-type cloth mask in my pocket so that I can warm my face if needed. Our mornings can be brutal in the winters and there was a slight coating of something between ice and snow all over everything. Not my favorite walk today. I am so looking forward to not needing all those winter items on every time my dog needs to go out and walk. I did make a trip yesterday to a hardware store for filters for the furnace and humidifier. Then I went to the appliance store and bought filters for my fridge.
This reminds me of my favorite quote from the book, “Flipped” by Wendelin Van Draanen. “Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss, but every once in a while you find someone who’s iridescent, and once you do, nothing will ever compare.”

Considering his sign says hardware, that’s no surprise.

He came to the wrong rock. Instead of a hardware rock …
… maybe he could find a soft-wear or body-wear rock.

Let’s try wall papering him. Better. Yet, Lets give him a tar and feather coat, it’ll last almost all winter. Yip yip yip yip yip

He could use a coat, and I could use about $500,000. In real money, that is.

Homonyms could spice up this strip. Chili, Cote, Lacker.

Maybe he got some overalls or similar. But, I guess the sign would say “Software” in that case?

Actually, many “primitive” peoples in cool to cold climates used animal grease, applied to the skin. It slows evaporation, thus keeping one warmer.

Not exactly the same as leaving the house without an umbrella.
