The ant sisters May and April discuss the weather.

But being Ants, they can’t say Uncle.

By the looks of the size of the ants they look like thy have already gotten a half inch of rain! Heaven help the ants if they get an inch of rain!

It’s been raining here the last six days straight and the forecast is for rain all next week. Had a dream last night about building an ark.

We are desperate for rain!!!!!!!!!

Rain…aka….Liquid Sunshine

May dandelions, yes. Flowers, not so much.

Hope they get along with the Pilgrims. I heard they’re real S.O.B.’s

We had over five inches last week with at least four in a twenty four hour period.

Up here in the Great White North we are awash in daffodils.

If it rains anymore, my house will be floating down I-271

Mine are blooming, started in the snow!

The showers WILL bring May flowers — when you get some heat to help them along.

It’s more like the cartoonist waiting for an idea.

The dandelions are blooming! But then I call the weeds.

Well, I’ll admit I’m not getting flooded, but really, weren’t we praying for rain last year about this time? “Be careful what you wish for…” and all that.

And waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

No sense standing there expected May flowers when it’s still April.

Very dry April here. Thankfully, age made me give up gardening and its other frustrations. That and the cost increase of our village water to remove radium to legal levels.

Our rains started in January and have now mostly stopped, so everywhere we are awash with wild flowers – acres of them all over So. Cal. Don’t know about the rest of the state.

You’ll know the May flowers get there when pilgrims get off the boat.

It was 92 here last Thursday, the flowers have been out and are drooping in the heat. There is some rain in the forecast for this week. I sure hope it happens.

Isn’t that the truth!
