I agree, IMudd. They will raise one spoiled brat if she always gets her way by throwing a fit.
Ask her to do something grown up, then let her carry the groceries.

All adults in the family need to be consistent. She needs to learn that she can’t always get her way and tantrums will only result in punishments.
It worked with me. A friend of my parents used to kick his son when he cried. He was a psychiatric nurse so I dread to think what he was like at work.
She can’t pronounce the r in “Grandpa”; but she can pronounce the l in “please”?
