This is one reason I’m so happy to be single! I control the thermostat setting (also the TV remote and everything else that goes on in my house). I don’t let it get hot in the house, but if I get cold, I won’t hesitate to turn up the heat.

and so it goes in my house, I am always cold and my husband is always hot, in fact he wears shorts most of the year. He only wears warmer stuff when he goes out for a walk.

It’s the other way ’round in our house. My life is one long hot flash (Yes, Virginia, they can last into the mid-70s.) so I want the thermostat down and sleep with the windows open. I believe Hubby wants the temp to correspond to his age!

My step mother is always cold but doesn’t understand how to change the thermostat, no matter how many times I’ve helped her. On the other hand, our house is an all male environment and it’s cosy. If I feel hot, I just put on a T shirt and walk barefoot.

Maybe you should give her massages to help with the blood circulation. That and keep it warmer for her. Take off your shirt if it gets too hot.
