We received a pedometer from one of our medical insurance companies some years back. I decided to how bad I was at getting to the 10,000 steps a day that I had read one should get.
I clipped it on the morning and looked at it when going to bed – it was over 10,000 – and a good percentage of them were up and down stairs as we have a small house spread out over 2 floors and basement and whatever I need when in bedroom or office upstairs is in the basement and vice versa, let alone anything I need while on the ground floor is either upstairs or in the basement. I did not bother to remember how many steps, just that it was more than everything suggested as how many steps to shoot for and threw it in a drawer until I found it again and tossed it.
