Betty’s clever! One day of having to use expressions like that, and Bob’s sure to choose to simply give up bad language altogether rather than sound that silly.

I’d be more concerned about his road rage than his swearing. He probably has high blood pressure. On the other hand, “jackanapes” is a great word. We need to bring that one back

I told someone once that I had never seen such beautiful acephalism. He said thank you, with that blank look of one trying to hide the fact that he didn’t know what I meant. I now read regularly the dictionnary to find other such words.
