I don’t know a lot of school age kids these days….
but the ones I do know are burning up the WiFi or ethernet, depending on the kind of router in their houses, on their computers doing tons of school work.
If it were down they wouldn’t have time to play guitar.
A sixth grader about 4 years ago showed me his teacher’s website.
They go there to get their assignments, see additional materials, and take quizzes or play academic games for extra credit.
I asked what happens if they don’t have a computer or the internet at home.
The question barely registered as sane.
In his sheltered life, everybody had that stuff….
In the real world, I worry about kids who don’t.
BTW… back then, I occasionally stayed overnight at their house…
and I discovered that their WiFi was scheduled to shut down every night at 10.
That was to keep their two boys from using it when they should be sleeping.
I had to ask them to please leave it on for me…. I can’t sleep at 10…. and I’d go on the comics when they went to bed.
Doesn’t Junior have homework?
