She is Not cool because she has the very things she eschews.

Alex certainly says what she wants when she wants.

Alex is so opinionated that she is sure she is correct even if she isn’t.

sounds like good old fashioned selfishness to me. Cool may be aloof but not selfish.

I think they are friends because Betty can feel better about herself in comparison.

So does your average sociopath. But Betty’s conclusion does make an odd kind of sense.
