Same reason why I don’t have an iPhone 15 or whatever the latest number is. I still have the iPhone 8 I bought about three years ago (even then I think it was a couple of models out of date). It was my first smart phone (my previous one I always referred to as “semi-stupid”) and it does everything I need it to do.

Use Hoopla or Libby to borrow ebooks or audiobooks from your local library and read them (or listen) on your phone. No need for another device.
