Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for October 23, 1992
Transcript:
Ms. Clarke: Nate, what occurs at the end of chapter five? Nate: I didn't read it miss Clarke.... I broke my wrist remember? Ms. Clarke: Nate, surely your wrist didn't prevent you from reading chapter five! Nate: Well no.... It wasn't my wrist... It was the lingering emotional trauma. Francis: You didn't really think think she'd buy that did you? Nate: Hey, It's her first year... it was worth a shot
Nate should have said that he couldn’t turn the pages, it would make a lot more sense.
