Nate: So how come they called you "Wrong Way Wright" back in high school? Dad: *sigh* Well, I was on the football team...One game, I recovered a fumble...but when I started running, I somehow got turned around, and...Well, you can imagine the rest. Dad: My chance for GLORY! Coaches: Oh, NO! Wright, you idiot! COME BACK!
There was this one Cal player, who was immortalized for life because in the 1929 rose bowl, he ran the wrong way, and ultimantly, losing the game for his team. At least he earned the nickname “wrong way” Rebels.
