Nate: You know, I've been thinking... Easter candy isn't nearly as good as Halloween candy. Nate: With Easter candy, you basically get three kinds of stuff: Chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies, and jelly beans. Nate: Compare that to Halloween, when you get all KINDS of stuff! Last October, I got Forty-Three different types of candy! Nate: PLUS, on Easter, all you get is ONE BASKET! On Halloween, you can just keep going to house after house! You can fill up a GARAGE BAG! Nate: Yup, as far as candy is concerned, Halloween's got Easter beat! Francis: Easter really doesn't have anything to do with candy. Nate: You weren't listening to a word I said, were you?

Francis is right. Easter, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Mardi Gras, and Christmas, along with others, all originated in Christianity.

He’s right. At Easter, you only get egg-themed candies. But on Halloween, you get more candies than you get at Easter.
