Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for June 20, 1999
Transcript:
End o' school (a poem) by Nate Wright September brought us back to school, A situation downright cruel. And by October, we'd recalled. Why by our school we're so appalled. Teacher: Here's tonight's homework. Did I mention that homework counts for 80% of your grade? Dang! November: time for giving thanks, I tried, but kept drawing blanks. Francis: Thank goodness you didn't get an F-Minus! Nate: Shut up, man! Mrs. Godfrey: We reached December, Inch by inch. That Mrs. Godfrey! What a grinch. Our January resolution: start a 6th-grade revolution! Nate: Food fight! February's short, you mention? Not if you spend it in detention. Nate: Sigh... March and April came and went. Can't we give up school for Lent? May and June: We got exam'd. I failed despite how much I crammed. Mrs. Godfrey: Ready for your test on chapter six? Nate: But you told us to study chapter five! Mrs. Godfrey: I changed my mind. Now finally it's really summer! School's out! Let's get... Nate: "Dumb and Dumber"? Teddy: Nah. How 'bout "Men in Black"?
