What's all this about a bet, you two? Uh...it...heh heh... I bet Nate that he couldn't go a week without getting detention! ...and I'm almost there! Only three hours to go! I see. Well, Nate, that certainly explains your recent behavior... ...But, Gina, it doesn't explain yours.
I don’t think Nate is going to get detention. If he does get detention, I think Mrs. Godfrey will be keen and say that he has to serve it tomorrow, therefore solidifying the win of the bet between Gina and Nate.
But what I’m liking is seeing the reasonable side to Mrs. Godfrey. I lost a lot of respect for her when she served detention to Nate – for being a few seconds late after the bell – right in front of his Grandparents on Grandparent Day. I hope she makes a better judgement call and better actions that she has in the past.
