Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for May 01, 2016
Transcript:
Nate: Mrs. Godfrey, take a look at the kids filing into your classroom today! Nate: Notice how exhausted they all look! Nate: It's May! The home stretch of the school year! We're beat! Nate: For eight months we've done nothing but learn facts and memorize names! Nate: we can't absorb anything new! Our brains are too full! Mrs. Godfrey: Too full? Hm. Mrs. Godfrey: We'd better empty them out, then! Mrs. Godfrey: Pop quiz, folks! Nate: Oh, how I despise her.
I suspect many years from now, Nate will look favorably back on these years of education with Mrs. Godfrey. He may even thank her, some day.
