Okay, so it seems like either there’ll be all kinds of jokes about this idea, or maybe it will end with a banger letter a la the poem, but no reading Daphne’s. Not a problem, as this can definitely work as well, plus it’s a good joke! Turns out Nate DOES give sappy nicknames, the hypocrite XD

About a year ago, a boy of maybe 10 years asked me how to send a letter. Rather complicated if you have to explain every step, beginning with Grampa’s name not being “Grampa”…

The fiasco approaches… Nate writes a love letter, with Francis as counselor.

Okay not only is this a good arc so far, but I also like how Pierce has scaled back teddy and francis razzing from “Needlessly cruel” to “checking their friends ego and stupidity”. Maybe the writing of the show helped, who can say.

Sugar lumps is a new one for me. I hope it doesn’t mean fat…

This arc is probably the most boring arc I have ever read I hate these kinds of things like “your cuter Snookie bear no you are” remember how obnoxious Jenny and artur are 1/10 there might be a letter that says I met a new boy or something

I don’t know how “these kids today” feel about it, but I have ONE friend who regularly writes personal letters, and it is SO COOL when I get one in the mail.

Okay, nobody, and I mean NOBODY calls their partner these names that this strip tries to suggest. Like “Pookie Bear”, “Punkin’” sometimes, but not “Sugar Lumps”!

Strip rating: 2/10 Sorry, I just don’t think this comic is very funny!

I hope Nate writes the letter himself, without being completely influenced by suggestions from friends. Better to write crass things but yours than sweet things said by others.

Nate doesn’t need to write it now… he can write it when he’s at home and not having fun with his friends…

To be fair, I think Daphne would read that and not mind at all. The girl soaked the letter in MOUNTAIN DEW. She can handle a pretty stupid pet name.
