Here’s something oddly appropriate in several ways: The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Cleo one of the guys brought his gas grill in and cooked 3 of them outside in 24 degress temp.! And we had ranch beans, green bean casserole, scalloped potatoes, shrimp, meatballs, baked ziti, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, broccoli chesse dip, crab dip, rolls, hot mocha cocoa, punch, cranberry sauce, chips , 6 different kinds of desserts, I am SO STUFFED! And our gift exchange game was a riot! The gifts stayed wrapped the whole time, until the very end when everyone ended up with a gift. The gifts were all good stuff, wine and cheese, whiskey, assorted jams, tool kit, hunting knives, a set of glasses, etc.

Cleo, now you have Brett in a Packer caricature!

Carmy beer can chicken is a whole chicken cooked upright on a grill or special cooker, though my friend says you can probably do it in an oven. Drink half the can of beer (LOL) and leave the rest in the can. Put the butt end of the chicken over top of the can of beer and cook the chicken. Very juicy and very tender. They have a gadget you use to hold the chicken upright, or you can make a home made gadget.

Carmy I am not certain, but I think I read that beer can chicken involves putting chicken over an open can of beer somehow (use you imagination I guess lol!) and cooking it in the barbeque. The beer suffuses the chicken and gives it it’s great flavour.

some of Terry’s snow has slopped over to us. luckily for me, it was cleared by the time i had to drive, but my sister (who teaches at a rural school where students are bused in) got a part day off because the buses were cancelled due to the weather.
