Just a brief stop over. Work for on-line for Undstanding Psychology added more to want instructor wanted since want we read almost qualifies to real life. Went to job fair close to waste of time more colleges attending high cost to. Lot of people show up. Local aircraft let word out 700 more people from all over including management let go.

Rmom, I found EMET’s posts to be amusing, sometimes enlightening. Sometimes they were too long to read for my time constraints so I occasionally would scroll over them

But he was nothing like our friend Joe, who’s comments I often scrolled over without reading. But there was someone who should have been booted well before he actually was with his abusive remarks towards other commentors.

Grog - I did flag Joe occasionally, especially when he got abusive toward others, or gave way TMI about his views on sexuality.

Rmom, I never did flag him. I ignored him knowing that about as many people liked him as those that hated him.

Grog - I never flagged Joe’s long stories, just the posts that I thought violated the TOS. He was quick to tell others that children could be reading, so I thought it was only fair that I flagged his that I thought were inappropriate for children to read.

As it should be, Rmom. I never bothered to read his long-winded stuff, but would do the same if I saw something offensive in his shorter posts. It seems to me he got more attention on strips I didn’t read.

Rmom and Grog - I never flagged him either. If some things he said were inapropriate for kids to read then thoughs shold of been. I skipped over his comments not reading them usually. Sometimes curiousity got the better of me and I would read them. He should not of put others down, that is for sure. In many ways I felt sorry for him, he must of not had many friends and did not know how to express his ideas without condeming others.In this world their are all kinds of people. GoComics is better without his comments, it’s too bad he expressed himself the way he did.

Grog - It is possible, since I don’t know which ones you read. I didn’t read every strip that Joe frequented, but he showed up on enough of mine, that I did see a lot of his posts. I won’t argue that some posters picked on him, but I saw that he lashed out at many who did nothing to provoke him.

I felt sorry for him, but like I said, with the posts he had been making, he should have been gone a long time ago, while others might say he was pushed into saying the things he said. I knew there was a few people out there riding him for stating the obvious. He was never ignored no matter what he did: good or bad.

Can’t argue with that, Grog!

So, how many days/evenings per week are there football games now?

If you include college, I suppose it’s almost every day, RMom I watch NFL on Sudays and select college matchups. If there’s nothing on I like in College, I don’t watch it. There are College games Thursday, Friday & Saturday, but if I watch, it’ll be Saturday.

I forgot to mention NFL on Monday nights, depending on matchup.

At least I think maybe we’ve gained some new tribal members this year who aren’t football fans, so I’ll have someone to chat with while all you fans are glued to the TV.

The worst days for m will be Sunday afternoons & Monday nights.

I’m sure if I’d married a guy who liked football, I would have stayed up on the current players, teams, leagues, etc. But since I didn’t, I don’t bother. When I was single, I usually rooted for OU, since 2 of my brothers are OU grads, and OU had a good team. My high school hardly ever won a game, and the colleges I went to either didn’t have a team, or it usually lost.

The difference between the posts of DDfence Emet and Joe Alan (joe) are clear. Emet’s posts may be a little long and, to those who don’t take the time to understand them, confusing.

But Joe always wrote with a chip on his shoulder, feeling he had something to prove. He seemed to think that others were challenging him, even when nobody was.

But I never flagged either one. Flags should be used only for obscenities and commercial spam.

Hi Frankr. Right you are. However, some are unfortunately censoring us because we say hello to our follow posters we see every day. I’d like to know what’s offensive/obscene about that.

Frankr - I think you are spot on in your assessments of the two posters. Since none of us are going to think exactly alike, we won’t always agree with when to flag and when not to. Which is why I suggested (on BC) that gocomics ought to add a “thumbs up” to their current system. Now we can only vote against, but without knowing the total number of viewers reading and liking it, it seems like a “heckler’s veto” system.

Hello all hey Rmom I would like to use you as a sounding board for Understanding Psychology.

Especially for English words, sentence structure. Instuctor not to happy. Encouage me to seek help.

Kab - I have noticed that you need a lot of help with your spelling. Your sentence structure could use improvement too, but sentence fragments are okay in casual writing, but not in anything where you are getting a grade.

Kab - I would advise that you seek remedial help with your English. At the college my sons attend, you probably would be required to take it. My sons had to score high enough on their ACT to avoid taking remedial English. The oldest barely got the necessary score. He has managed to get a C in both English classes he’s taken since then, but I’ve had to be his editor/tutor.

Kab - Please let me know how I can help. I won’t say I’ve got perfect grammar - I actually skipped that & diagramming sentences, because they put me in accelerated English in 7th grade. My grammar was better when I was younger, I’ve gotten sloppy since I’ve been out of school, because I was told that I seemed to be “putting on airs” with my large vocabulary and proper grammar. But other than comma placement (which seems to be a subjective thing), I can usually spot errors if I’m looking for them. About the only thing I have to remember to watch for is that I like to use “their” for a non-gender specific pronoun, but that is only proper for plural uses, and I’ll use it for singular, if I’m not careful.

Rmom I did take an English reading test am required to take English course but made it too late class full. I just looked on Photob not under Lonewolf didn’t see you listed. You can do what little sister does she has sent me emails messages. One part I don’t want to tie this comment here with course subject on writing. I already admitted to instructor by email back in 60’s due to not see very well, I admitted that part, I was shoved in Spec Ed not testing and lost a great deal of right type of education. Instructor gave me two web links for tutor and education help. When I clicked on web link would not come up. Thurs I will try again otherwise contact them. I also looked on discussion board sentences where very short not much detail. Looked like instructor selected one.

My family does not have high English vocabulary my mom worst of all she is 85 left school at 8th grade.

Go for it. I copied and paste on word will not be put on here. I did not see this at all on photo. I know you got my message. I also plan to check with an advisior. Since class just started this week and I don’t want to bother instuctor more then necessary I just want to get class done. One part you cannot help with is test they are timed. I just don’t want to tie on message board. I will give you an example and it can wait until Thursday.
