There’s something to be said for a well made grilled cheese sandwich. It’s a sort of soul food…a bit of warmth when needed. It fills the odd niches, and makes one ready for whatever is required.

Take two tablespoons of tomato juice, a few drops of olive juice, a dash of tobasco and lemon, and gargle with cheap liquor, or the mouthwash of you choice.

good early morning Tribe. i was going to just lurk while i did a quick tour (since i need to be up by 8:30 for Saturday things) but could not pass up the chance to say “hello” after all. can’t add anything to the discussion about bloody marys, though, as i don’t care for tomato juice and have never even tried one. i prefer the whisky on the rocks i’m just finishing up before bed while youtube plays me a bit of old Elton John.

Hm…I worry that I may be a bad influence on L’il Sister…what with all this alcohol talk…

hy current preference is for Crown Royal, but i also like Canadian Club and have been known to imbibe Jack Daniels as well (but not at the same time). i’m also trying to develop a taste for single malt scotch, but i’m going to have to work on developing a bank account to afford it first. the Elton was Madman Across the Water (the title track is on a demo version from Tumbleweed Connection according to the person who posted it there. the orchestral arrangements are played on guitar instead. very cool IMHO.) i was actually looking for a couple of Rocky Horror tunes to share on Facebook with my youngest niece who saw the “glee” version tonight and shared their “time warp” with her friends. i’m hoping she gets a kick out of the original.

I’ve been very busy. working on-line has advantages get tests done. Three to go. Our local chanel here a president of a university not here locally though further away talked about people like me taking classes on-line and how this has gained popularity. I see name changes have taken over again. I am not going to try to keep up. I guess back to subjects. I have later today Service Project ahead. I hope to get over 4 hour to either 4.5 or 5 hours. Includes past Saturday.

If I’m awake, I may switch to Michigan @ Penn State when this one’s over. You may get that in your area on ABC. Locally, we’re getting Oregon @ USC, but I can’t stand PAC 10 football, particularly USC.

Sojourner, I haven’t seen Daniel Boone in such a long time, they’d all seem new to me.

RTV (Rertro TV) is one of the broaddcast co. a new local digital stations has. They have Wagon Train, The Rifleman, Rockford Files, Magnum P.I., Alfred Hitch., Dragnet, Emergency 51, etc.

My dad often talked about The Rifleman, but I never saw it, nor Wagon Train. I have 4 seasons of The Rockford Files. I have the first season of Dragnet and would like to collect Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I’ve seen Emergency and have seen Magnum in it’s origional run and repeats. Looks like a good lineup to me.

They (as their name implies) show older shows, even Jack Benny etc. Right now they started a show on true ghost stories.

I might actually put on a Twilight Zone disk tomorrow night (in lieu of football) or Arcenic & Old Lace

I’m cruisin’ for a snoozin’. Maybe I’ll wake up in time for turnover…..and maybe not.

Well my hometown University Mules in division II are still on their roll and won again today hubby told me and recorded the game. They are ranked high nationally .

Anyway, There’s a station that runs old shows on cable, two of them in fact. One station is part old shows, part religious. It has the Incredible Hulk, Dragnet, In the Heat of the NIght, etc.

Right now, in lieu of football I’m watching ‘What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. It was one of the first movies I saw with Bette Davis. Her best performance IMHO.

RTV also has Incredible Hulk, A-team etc. And some old movies. Right now Night of the Living Dead is on it again.

I think that’s the station, Sojourner. And almost any time of the day I can find I Love Lucy running

Dunno what I’m going to watch after this. I need to start thinking about hitting the sack. Choir’s singing tomorrow, it’s Confirmation and the Traditional Service actually gets the honors this time. Most of the young ones go to the 11am service, it’s the ‘contemporary’ service. Anyway, we’re looking at probably 75-90 minutes for the service.

Maybe, I don’t think I Love Lucy is on it but it might be part of a group of channels. What I have is RTV channel.

Don’t worry much about it. There’s just about anything you want available on cable for the right price.

Good Night Quaby - I just have over the air and what I can get over the internet.

Good night everyone. My turn not to sleep I have been busy. Almost midnight here. I did my time as volunteer very light work of almost nothing. I am talking about our Church Autumn Bash earlier. Children’s Pastor planed on 500 for sacks of candy for children and big activites. Since Halloween is Sunday they totally ran out sacks of treats by other 200. Me to help out I stayed after and vacumn carpet from all the debree for 45 min. Hall plug ins are horrible very loose contection.

Local news reported several haunted places and one not far from us were vandalised maybe that is why so quite. Last night wasn’t.
