Well, something’s different today. This is a panel from a real estate themed cartoon I did in the early 2000’s called “Broker Deeds.”
This cartoon featured two characters: Grant Deeds, the real estate broker who was incompetently successful and his faithful sidekick, Mort Gage, who constantly doubted his “boss’s” judgment.
This cartoon was posted for Doc, who goes back a way with me… well, seems like it’s been over ten years now… right, Doc? (Couldn’t find any of the old “Words of Wisdumb” panels, though. Sorry).
Broker Deeds is now obsolete, but I hope you enjoy him as much as he enjoyed swindling all his customers.
And thank you for reading this trite and true cartoon,
It kind of reminds me of the opening theme of “Northern Exposure” where the moose wanders into Cicely, Alaska and looks from building to building, each one with moose antlers mounted over the door.
FACES! I see faces! THOM has made me break my New Year’s Resolution
Doctor please
Some more of these
Outside the door
She took four more
What a drag it is getting old.
Thanks for all the kind comments! Truly, I have the best readers in the world!!
I’m posting one more Broker Deeds tomorrow, just for the heck of it. Most of them were done in black and white because they ran in newspapers for a while.
I’ll soon be back to the usual Birdbrains stuff. Thanks for putting up with my little indulgence.
Thom
P.S. And thanks for reading this unscrupulous cartoon…

You’ll never get that date with Pam Anderson now, Thom. You may even become her Peta project.

I’m glad there isn’t one up there with a cat’s rear end and some cow parts on a plaque. That would be udder catastrophe.

Nice one, Thom, although those to somehow remind me of Lenny and Squiggy.

Interesting to see where you’ve come from Thom. I only started reading Birdbrains in I think May of last year, so this ‘blast from the past’ is nice.

I don’t see any extra faces. Luckily, I also don’t see a squirrel in a flying cap.

Hi, Thom,
It’s really cool to see your “style” 10 years ago! Didn’t know about your “Past”. Thanks for keeping us informed! It’s great to see the evolution!

….. it really is a nice family room…….but…… ummm……
Do you think we could leave the family here and look at a house without a family room?

So is the moose now going to say, “You mess with my whole family and you mess with me!”…?
