My maternal grandfather claimed to be a descendant of the Morris’ (Robert and Lewis) and the number of signers as well as other data were part of the History Quiz that I watch every weekday in the news.
Heartening to see this and it helps just a little, after hearing that thousands of our taxes have been spent in advertising to get more “LIKES” on FACEBOOK for government sites.
Happy Independence Day to all! I’m so glad all those who have commented feel the specialness of this day for those who have given so much to make our lives free of tyranny.
To all the wonderful veterans who read this silly comic of mine (and to all who don’t), thank you for continuing to preserve our freedom in whatever conflict or aspect in which you serve or have served. You are my heroes and always will be – as are my Dad, my grandpa, my cousins and nephews.
We are blessed to live in a country that guarantees our freedom and ensures our independence, but we are doubly blessed to have titans who willingly serve that end so all of us can enjoy it.
Thank you all and thank God for those Founding Fathers!
And for the record, serenasakitty, the blue is in the right position (I checked to make sure before I did it). :)
