This is one of the reasons I hike alone.

Say little and say it well.

Some people have to jabber on and on. It is annoying.

No S#it.

That’s my wife. She’ll comment on how quiet it is on the patio and then start watching TikTok videos on her phone.

reminds me of the times when we’ve been in a peaceful setting, and along comes some clown with their drone… ahhh…love that noise!

I know someone who can’t stop blathering no matter how much we begged him to. He ruined several experiences like this.

Many years ago, I was north of Leadville, Colorado, in an area that looked like it was going to become a housing development. It was so quiet and peaceful; no traffic, no voices, just the wind in the trees and the scent of the pines. I could feel the tension I didn’t know I had draining out of me. I wonder what it’s like now?

Just like a nature hike with my kids. I wonder why we never spot any wild animals?

Just don’t be that person who brings a Bluetooth speaker on their hike.
