Dig Into Culinary Arts Month With Comics!
by GoComicsWe've already established that comics can teach you history, help you learn another language, and bring awareness to mental health. But did you know that comics can also help you become a better cook?
GoComics is home to two food-centric comics that combine quick and easy recipes with gorgeous illustrations. Cheap Thrills Cuisine by Bill Lombardo and Thach Bui is a weekly comic known as "the first culinary comic strip" and features a wide variety of cheap, simple dishes.
Kitchen Capers by David Banks also showcases recipes, but the comic follows two characters: Ken, a chef, and Clover, a cartoonist. The recipes from Kitchen Capers are slightly more complicated, and measurements are given in grams and liters.
Because July is Culinary Arts Month, we've put together a "tasting menu" featuring recipes from Kitchen Capers and Cheap Thrills Cuisine. Bon appetit!
