They call it "President's Day," but its twofer nature makes the case for changing it to "Presidents Day." It'd save on apostrophes. Who can remember to use them? And correctly? Such a hassle.

At least the federal/state/it's complicated holiday doesn't make us choose between celebrating the first President of the United States George Washington's birthday (February 22, 1732) or the 16th President Abraham Lincoln's b-day (February 12, 1809). Who can choose a preferred historical figure to simultaneously deify and misunderstand?

I mean, if it were up to Americans in 2017, President's Day would probably move to January in honor of Alexander Hamilton (January 11, 1755) -- or maybe a few days later to incorporate Hamilton musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda (January 16, 1980). And, like, he wasn't even a president!

No matter what, though, I think all Americans can appreciate that President's Day is celebrated uniformly on a Monday -- especially those who get a three-day weekend out of the deal. For most of our cartoonists, however, that's not the case. So today, we also celebrate them for turning in these comics on President's Days past.
