Still whining over Obama, Doc? You’re not going to be able to avoid the consequences of putting a thin skinned, insult hurling bully in the Offal Office much longer.
Trump’s own staff has publicly described his behavior as presidential precisely because HE did it. “He is the President-Elect, therefore anything he does is by definition presidential.”
For the first half of January, to behave presidential would be to be spiteful and to lay traps for your successor. Also, you could pardon traitors, enact choking regulations, enforce rules you made up (but not laws passed by congress), and pretend nothing scandalous happened during your term (Fast and Furious, IRS, Benghazi, You can keep your doctor, double the national debt, etc., etc., ad nausium).
Oh, and you could cry publicy in front of adoring fans.
I must be too ego-centric. To me, this cartoon is not about the President Elect, but about if I am going allow the coarseness in our society to affect the way I treat my fellow critters on this planet. The irony in the comments is so painful I really wish my significant other would have let me build that fortified bunker when the primaries were over. If I can find any solace in the current societal conditions, it is that Mark Twain often wrote about the self-righteous puffballs a century and a half ago and we survived them. Now, would someone do something truly important and write a humorous comment and was a little bit of the bitterness off of the comments.
Look at all the good republicans following suit. We are here to bring the country together by calling everyone names! I can’t wait to see them not own the government and their mistakes for the next two whiney brat years.
I really dislike this new system of replies to individual rants (and/or raves, or EVEN the rare comments) being hidden under the aforementioned rants/raves/comments, instead of right there in the main thread where they are easy to spot (and disagree with!)

A 40% approval rating before the start of the Orange Menace’s reign of terror. It’ll only go downhill from there. Pass the popcorn.

To steal someone else’s joke, he’s more President-for-Life than presidential.

On the (not very) bright side the next four years will provide comedians and cartoonists with plenty of fodder.
