But Doctor Toon — for hundreds of years the legal system, the economic system, the educational system, all government jobs, etc. WERE pretty much just for you or WASPs in general. Mind you, the worker class never got as much privilege as the rich, so it’s easier to tell them that their privilege (“rights” in privileged speech) is being eroded by allowing the minorities to have equal rights or any kind of catch-up break. The trick is, if you ain’t got much and think someone of a different skin shade, religion, culture or whatever is encroaching on what you have, look around and see which rich corporations already have their hands in your pockets.
