I remember reading some time back that the Sunday editions were not in very good shape and a number of them had to be scanned from old newspapers and copies. I’m just happy to see them again, regardless of what they look like. Nobody had any idea that it would become as big as it did back in the earliest days of the strip.

Looks like a scan of an actual newspaper print. There’s some ink transfer from the opposing page.

Artists generally did their own coloring for Sunday strips back then (not by a colorist). I wonder if this is the last of these in color.

Gee… Can’t imagine why Bobbi would ever call Steve a big-mouthed baboon…
