I don’t understand how cockroaches can reproduce. I’ve never heard of a henroach.

We had some huge palmetto bugs that would come into our house along coastal South Carolina back in the 80’s that would make a sort of pitter patter sound along the shelf paper. Brazen little things would never scatter when you opened the cupboard to grab something either. It was almost like they were expecting a handout or something. Never was many of them and they weren’t even living in the house. They would just scavenge and go back outside. Or we would catch the little buggers and toss them out. Always had to be sure that dry foods were sealed well though. Also had pets, so it we weren’t comfortable with spraying the house with pesticides. Every once in a while, our cat would hunt them down and dispose of them for us.

I keep thinking of the therapy session: cockroach crossdressers in crisis.

Huh. I was going to guess mice. I would think they pitter patter louder than cockroaches.

    Pitter pat! Pitter pat!

Mrs. Limekiller does not keep a tidy house, though perhaps her little friends (“Meet my little friends!”) do. I suspect Lola’s guerrilla days are mostly behind her….
