Coincidentally, just this afternoon as a friend and I were limping our gimpy way along, I remarked to him: "The worst thing about getting older … " (I’m 78 and he’s 53) … “is that it just keeps getting worse.” When we were younger, sore muscles recovered and injuries healed, but not any more! Bone on bone hip joints (me) and gouty feet (him) aren’t going to get better. Sigh! Growing old isn’t for wimps. The only thing we can do is keep moving forward for as long as we can.
