I have a squirrel feeder in my back yard, and my 7 pound dachshund “Lucy” is tormented by them. They go from the feeder to the garage roof, to the apple tree, to the out door fire place, to the tree in my neighbors yard never once coming any closer than 5 feet above her head.
If she barks at them, they stop dead in their tracks and stare at her like she is wacko. (Which she is) Maybe chomp on the peanut, toss the shells Lucy’s way, then go back to running the the path they use to get to the feeder.
If there are allot of peanuts, it can be a long day.
