I can’t remember who it was – but there was a NPR interview with one of the most prolific romance novel writers alive, and she was asked about writer’s block. Her response was something to the extent of, “Just make yourself write – writer’s block is something one overcomes with perspiration, not inspiration. Even if most of it is crap – there will be a gem to use and the flow is started.” She basically said that she actually writes about 5 hours a day, and story boards about an hour a day, if I remember correctly.
