Voice from TV: Special envoy to Iraq Donald Rumsfeld continued to defend the President's decision to normalize diplomatic relations with Iraq despite it's continuing use of chemical weapons. Donald Rumsfeld: Chemical weapons, schmeical weapons. Saddam Hussein is a freedom-loving friend of America. He's fighting to keep radical Islamic terrorists at bay. He's one of the good guys...like those brave rebels in Afghanistan fighting communism.
The last bit really was the way the Taliban were regarded in the West, before they took over Afghanistan and showed their true colors as control-freak a-holes.
