Huey: When are people going to have enough of Michael Bolton ripping off black singers?
Caesar: I heard he was working on his own version of the R. Kelly tape.
"Just a joke, folks!"
Every once in a while, some white-bread guy does something amazing.
Last night on Jimmy Fallon (after 1:00 a.m. on a school night, for crying out loud) that kid from rural Canada, a 16-year-old who looks 13 and whose album is now #1 on the Billboard album charts (the youngest solo male to reach that spot since Stevie Wonder in 1962), was playing drums with The Roots and bantering with Jimmy.
I was astonished that a preteen idol of do-it-yourself YouTube fame was actually totally cool keepin’ it real among the pros. He may be no virtuoso, but he just gets it. What a relief!
