Huey: Because you don't read the newspaper - or anything else, for that matter. You won't even watch TV news. Riley: Well, that %@#*$ is usually irrelevant! Huey: If your favorite musician has "murder" in his name, you might want to keep an eye on the daily papers.
But Huey – he’s not a musician; he a rapper. Not the same thing at all.
Rap (like punk and grunge) is predicated on the philosophy “How dare you try to deprive of my inherent right to be a rock star just because I can neither write, play, or sing?!?!?”
