This is absurd nonsense. The insurance companies skim more than 20% off of healthcare costs but provide no healthcare services. By not paying those parasites, more than 1/5 of the money is freed up.In terms of cost/outcome, the US has the worst healthcare system in the world. Why are Republicans so convinced that the US can’t do what every other industrialized nation does.
What a disappointing comic. With current practices, you pay more. I would take a plan that had higher taxes but lower overall costs to me, plus the ability to move jobs or retire without penalty. And no stress of insurance scammers!
It always amazes me how people want the government to solve their problems and use other peoples money to help them pay for things.
Government causes more problems than it solves.
Two quotes come to mind that express this:
Often credited to Henry David Thoreau but found previously in the United States Magazine and Democratic Review, founded in 1837 by John O’Sullivan – “That government is best which governs least”.
The other will probably trigger liberals because it was said by Ronald Reagan in referring to economic policy – “government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem”.

Communist socialists nationalize industries. Welfare-state socialists nationalize your paycheck.

A paycheck is like a sink with many drains – there’s just no way you’re going to find plugs for all of them.

Oh, stop obsessing! Bernie and Liz will only steal from the rich. Problem is, what happens when they run out of rich people to rob?
