Growing up we had the ice man cometh….carrying a big block of ice for the icebox! While he was busy delivering, the gang jumped up in his ice truck and we got the loose chunks of ice …..he would catch us and yell, “get off that truck”, but we all seemed to survive and scattered in different directions….sucking on a cool hunk of ice!☺️
(As a kid, we lived for a brief time with my grandparents while my dad finished his degree in education. We had an old cabinet style icebox which was metal lined and insulated with hay. It had a drip pan underneath. About once a week or so, the ice truck, not unlike what is shown in strip 3 would come around and the men on the ice truck would saw off what was needed, use tongs to take it into the house and put it in the ice box. On hot, humid east Texas summer days, a chip of ice tasted and felt wonderful.)
1. Bozo not expect to get April Fools on July 4th.
2. Why jumps when you can climbs down.
3. Ah, icy what you is carrying.
…
For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.
An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!
FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning! More about FoXo and BOZO in the About page.
So no wonder that these wonderful wordless wonders still bring great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.
But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.
Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to many many more!
…
And yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever enjoyable ever excellent evergreen entertainer, the brilliantly beautiful and beautifully brilliant BOZO!
1) 4TH OF JULY RICH CIGAR: A careless plutocrat drops a barely smoked premium cigar. Bozo scoops it up and quickly replaces his usual one feeling like a million bux!
2) SCARE DOG STRUT: On stage Bozo is to jump and dive into a shallow tub only nothing is there. Bozo doesn’t trust he’s tough enough climbs down amid heckles!
3) HOT LADY, ICE WATER: On the boiling street Bozo says “hello” by noticing this curvaceous lady (Bozann) and takes so long his block of ice nearly as larfge as he melts to a 4th of the size and runs to finish his founds!
Now waitsaminute. Me suspect was right. It look like certain pattern. No BOZO appearing on Sadderdays, Glumdays, and Woenessdays. Just looks at above calendar when you clicks on date. What me want to know is are strips in between being skipped or is these gaps between days just given and strips is not being skipped?
Two things I learned from these strips, One is trying to impress the ladies is a long sometimes dangerous job. Two Smoking is hazardous to your health.
As part of an email exchange between my contact person at GoComics and me on March 6, I was assured that, “(W)e are working very hard to resolve these issues.” I mentioned that all of the Bozo strips had been recently re-scanned individually, and that I could send them to GoComics to be published as such. My contact seemed to welcome that news, but said that he did not want to take that possible move until the present issue was resolved.

1) ☺ I love the way FoXo shows Bozo’s hat and feet in the explosion. ☺
2) … and Bozann was hoping for a stunning performance… ㋛
3) Bozo and the Girl had a three hours conversation… Talking about being chatty! ☺
Nice details all over the strips. ⭐

An explosive celebration,
A wasted purchase,
And a change of plans,
In the wrong order!

1) Beware of wealthy fops disposing cigars!
2) Bozo struts his stuff until he sees the water then decides to walk in rather than dive.
3) Bozann can make anyone, particularly Bozo (and his ice block), melt!

Hmm, if this pattern keeps up we’ll see another Bozo on Thursday and Friday and none again until Monday. It seems like a deliberate pattern, but why?
