2. He now has the time. Good luck with your crime.

3. To compose, sit and think. He’s soon covered in ink.

P1: ?? Afraid he might start throwing the bricks? ??

1) Of all the rides for Bozo to hitch on, he had to pick that one!

2) Relax, Fingers, I just wanted to see what time it is!

3) Ah, the days when you had to load ink from an inkwell, and risk getting a faceful of ink!

Bozo is great today ! He’s got his bricks and the attention of his friends in law enforcement , he nabbed Fingers for a favor and he got that fountain pen working finally .

For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so beautifully and brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.

An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!

FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning!

But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.

Foxo’s position was an open door to meeting many interesting people. On one occasion Billy Conn, who nearly defeated Joe Louis for the World Heavyweight Boxing title, visited the Times-Dispatch. Since Conn was interested in cartooning, he was brought by to see Foxo, who was impressed with Conn’s cartooning ability. In Foxo’s words, “He was pretty good.”

Foxo Reardon worked for the Richmond (Virginia) Times Dispatch, a leading Southern paper, as sports, editorial, humor, and news cartoonist and Art Director for some 22 years before becoming syndicated with the strip “Bozo.” The above words are taken from my 254-page book"Whistling Down the Halls, The Times and Cartoons of America’s Original Pantomime Comic Strip Artist." And a amazing splitting of each panel into two so as to gets totally eight panels to shows Bozo’s frustrations with the ink pen. FoXo also a master of telling the funny tales (without any words!) in the very limited newspaper space that daily comics is has.
