Lupin: The woman has a hairball. Elvis: Elvis here, where the woman has a hairball, despite the fact that it is NOT 4:30 am, or as a cat knows it..."Hairball o'clock." Puck: Ma'am? Woman: It's okay Puck, its just morning sickness. Puck: Ma'am? Come along, ma'am. Let's get you to a nice, clean carpet. Lupin: Carpet is ideal, thanks to its hairball locking microfibers. Plus, it's all cushy on your paws. Puck: Ma'am? Woman: Puck, I'm okay. Puck: I can save you. Take my paw. Ma'am? Woman: Puck, really- Puck: Just a little further, ma'am. Woman: C'mon. There's a bathmat right over here. Lupin: Think of your paws. Puck: Would you at least like to wait until hairball o'clock?

A Certain Person I Know mithers us to be allowed out first thing in the morning, even before she has had her breakfast. She then eats huge quantities of grass. And then wants to come in and vomit the grass onto the carpet.
Perhaps the woman has been eating grass.

I love their looks of sympathy and concern in the last couple panels. This is one of my all-time favorites. :)

The boys are so concerned about The Woman! Such loving, good boys certainly deserve treats right now!

I love how concerned the boys are about her alleged “hair ball” and all the advice they’ve offered her. I get such a kick out of that Study of a Carpet chart showing the different layers of absorbent flooring underneath which lies the earth’s core. :p It explains so much! I don’t think the Woman can wait until hair ball o’clock though . . .

Yeah, I love this one, too. I have never been sick in my life that some adorable kitteh hasn’t come to help me when I most need to be left alone. God bless them all.

So “hairball o’clock” is just ten minutes after…hmmm, I would have thought there’d be more of a delay.

Around here, we call it “barf o’clock”.

Interruption: Absolutely adorable Halloween picture for the 2018 calendar by Georgia https://www.instagram.com/p/BLNe-OQjqyG/ Several months ago when someone asked about a 2017 calendar, she said she hadn’t known how early you have to do the calendar. So no 2017 but there will be 2018.Interruption over. Return to scheduled programming.

Georgia, I really wish you wouldn’t change your format to the “daily strip” style. I’d rather see these wonderful large ones once or twice a week than just a 3 or 4-panel daily. Your artwork and all the wonderful little details are just too marvelous this way. Love love love these guys and their little world. That Earth’s core at the bottom of the carpet had me howling. @sunflowergirl100 – thanks for the calendar update, I was wondering!

This is so adorable, and the carpet diagram is priceless. Love this one :)

The Woman deserves to be compensated for these delights, and needs to begin financially contributing to the household, from what we have been told. I think everyone adores the longer format, but I will happily take BCN in whatever form it is offered. Right now she gives a lot and gets nothing much beyond our adoration, which will not buy many diapers.

I love the break-down of layers of a carpet. I now know that is the allure of the hairball-locking fibers that attract them to it, instead of the more easily cleanable linoleum.

I love Breaking Cat News and look forward to it every day. My 4 fur-balls (Giblet, McKayla, Mittens and Joel Gray) are a lot like this crew.
