I had to make a character list for Our IX Lives just to keep everyone straight. I thought I’d post it here in case anyone else was having problems. (I had to do this when I was studying the Salem Witch Trials too. It helped a lot.)

All info gleaned from previous strips. Well… actually the “heiress” and “trust fund” parts are a guess, but I don’t think I’m going out on a limb.

Snowball Taggart – The richest cat in Viejo Gato. Sly and manipulative.

.

Angora Taggart – Dutiful daughter of Snowball. In love with Kit Chase.

.

Princess Taggart – Rebellious daughter of Snowball. In love with Captain Nimble and mother of their four kittens (but only Sweetheart lives with her).

.

Kit Chase – Lovable, roguish stray with an eyepatch and a heart of gold. In love with Angora but despised by her father.

.

Captain Nimble – In love with Princess, father of her four kittens (Sweetheart and 3 unnamed). Currently lost at sea with the three kittens.

.

Sweetheart Taggart – Kitten of Princess Taggart and Captain Nimble. Living with her mother.

.

Dr. Mittens – Snowball Taggart’s doctor. Known to aid and abet rich patients who fake illness, and to make inappropriate advances towards beautiful heiresses.

Brad – Snowball’s business partner. Pompus, preening, and has the hots for Angora (and probably also her trust fund).

.

Bandit Chase – Kit’s younger brother, a police officer.

And to Georgia if you’re reading:

Regarding your reply to my comment from yesterday, YAY! That almost exactly fits with all of my “It would be so cool if…” thoughts on the newspaper launch! So much character development and story you’ve already done is just too great for new readers to miss out on.

“I thought we were talking about Man’s awful neck ribbon.”

Just loving Aunt Paisley! And this line made me break out laughing causing my coworkers to stare at me strangely: “Are you two wearing the same dress?” Bwhahahaha! They ARE! Just different colours! Ha! Love it!

I can see that Paisley is going to be a real addition to the cast.

Why do I think Aunt Paisley is Baba Mouse’s alter-ego?

Not only do I continue to post to my local paper about BCN, but I have shared Georgia’s post to my (and my wife’s) friends on our pages so they can see what they are missing and to hopefully contact THEIR newspaper people as well. I think that everybody here should do that, if they aren’t already.

I thought we were headed for a sweet reunion with Capt Nimble & Princess, forgetting that the story line of a soap has manyyy twists and turns. Either that or the Capt is a lousy sailor. the cat ears doorway is so cute and love Paisley’s outfit. You shouldn’t have sat down Elvis, you’ll be “hooked” before the end of the special.

@mdalton, I’ll add my name to the others and thank you for the list! @denny wheeler, I too thought of Baba Mouse right away when Aunt Paisley appeared! I’ve watched Days of our Lives since the 70’s when Grandma got me started on it. Every time Our IX Lives airs here, it cracks me up! Love this whole Cat World that Georgia takes us to!

Slightly off topic: TAGGERT FAMILY-sounds like the prime characters in “ATLAS SHRUGGED”! If you haven’t read it, do so as even though it was written years ago is so true today. The writer was Ayn Rand.

Repeats they may be as they “predate” me—but the strip just gets more and more entertaining and who could not love all the characters? I’m reminded of the felines in the ’Merry Maines ’series of cat adventures.

Glued to the “set,” and waiting for the next installment of Our IX Lives!

I love the little asides in this comic “are you two wearing the same dress?”. There’s one I still laugh about every time I remember it. The cats are all standing around outside talking to the barn cats and neighboring animals. And little Beatrix comes rushing out to get their coffee orders. As all the commotion continues, Elvis asks her “how do you keep getting out?” I LOVE that. They are all out.

That Brad is up to no good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He needs to go head first in the kibble bowl and get cat kibble swirly before he is run out of the mansion on a cat scratch post that has tied him up with the Manilla rope used on the scratching post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Betrayal, cool high speed chases, and great danger…but no explosions? Booooring.But the Oxford comma is much appreciated.

Aunt Paisley is providing some WONDERFUL foreshadowing!

Aunt Paisley might, just might be a relative of Baba Mouse!
