All of us who have reported receiving our calendars have expressed delight over our purchases. I was checking to see how the BCN calendar was being rated on Amazon, and I discovered there were no reviews. I quickly posted one. If you bought you calendar from Amazon, it would be nice if you took a few moments to rate it and say a few nice words about why you like it. Good morning my friends, I’m just letting you all know that I will probably not be around much for the upcoming weeks because I’m flying out to Texas on an emergency flight tomorrow morning to be with my dad and family. My brother called me late last night to tell me my dad’s condition had worsened considerably and he may not last the next two days . . so please please pray for my family and I that I can make it to see my dad before he falls asleep in death. Orb bumps, boops, and bear hugs badly needed. Love you all. xxx

Our kits love their cat sitters…kids have much more stamina for endless games of chase the feather teaser than we do.

If Elvis tries anything against the nice cat sitter (sorry but can’t think of her being The Intruder), I could see Lupin the perfect gentlecat being quite chivalrous and defend her. Elvis be a good gentlecat and be cool! 8)

Easily disarmed the bat of an eye

With yesterday’s strip and today’s, all are present and accounted for: timid, cautious Puck under the bed; brave, gallant Lupin on the scene reporting the action; and steadfast defender Elvis literally holding down the fort. :)

My catsitters sometimes go the entire length of my travel without seeing the cats, other than that the food disappears and the boxes need attention. I tell them that conservation laws apply: if there has been no flux of cats past the door (and there wouldn’t be, they don’t dash), then the quantity of cats inside remains constant.

My cat sitters would love to play with Kaboodle, and always come ready to love on her… She will have none of it. I’m told she will run to the door (like she does when I come home) then run away, occasionally with a hiss for the person-who-is-not-her-Mamas. I’ve left her with my parents for a week at a time, and all they ever see of her is a tail slipping under the love seat. Even when my mother visits me for a week, she stays hidden away while I’m at work and only comes out when I’m here.

I was talking about it to coworkers and said it must mean she loves her Mamas. One guy joked, “Either that or Stockholm Syndrome.”

I had a cat like that, who shunned all visitors. And she never sat on my lap, as the others did. But when she turned 6, everything changed: She became a lapsitter and a gracious hostess whenever there was company. She was half Siamese, so maybe there’s a clue here. (The first half of her life was the Siamese part, and the second half was whatever her father was!)

Dear friends, I’m fighting a bad infection that keeps me from concentrating on too much. Just because you haven’t heard from me, know I love you all. When I beat this I’ll be back. >^.,.^<

Wait…Elvis is in the cat tower?! Most of the cats I’ve known have taken a rather dim view of things their people have bought for the cats to use.
