Personally, I think the Woman is delusional. Come on! She’s got to know the Boys are eyeing the produce and getting ready to tuck in. And then she’ll have to deal with the carnage.
I hate to say it, but I could never take anyone wearing a lobster bib seriously (not for eating lobster, just for wearing the bib). Now that I’ve seen Lupin tying on his cactus bib, that feeling is even stronger… :-P
Love the bib on Lupin :) Poor Woman doesn’t have a hope
My loveable little half-wit Mozart (he really was missing some brain cells but it didn’t matter) loved to watch me doing things with the plants and would often start to help himself while I was in the middle of re-potting/trimming/watering plants. Dean runs around after me when I water the plants but he’s more interested in the water than the plants.
“Tre-C, kitten, put down the butter knife. You made your point.” Megan was tapping her back foot impatiently. “Fine… fine” Tre-C replied, then gave Kip a quick glare; “but I still think I could do it.” Blessed with perfect timing, Rusty walked over to the group with the drinks. “Everything all right, Boss?” “Nothing one of these won’t fix…” Kip answered, then grabbed one of the grasshoppers and downed it in one gulp- only a second or two behind Tre-C. Kip turned to Rusty; “Uh… two more grasshoppers, Russ…”, to which Tre-C added; “I’ll have the same.” Kip looked at Tre-C trying to read her face; “Is she serious?” Megan cleared things up; “We’ll have one. Each. You can join us if you’d like- I’m sure you and your “little girl” have a lot to catch up on.” Tre-C turned to Megan and silently mouthed “OHN”.
I know just how the Woman feels—I’ve tried in the past to have plants and with this black thumb of mine, they’ve wound up dying . . even managed to kill a cactus of all plants! lol And it wasn’t even my cactus, I was plant-sitting it for a friend! The only plant that has survived me has been a very hardy gardenia bush maybe because I doted on it and sang to it even. ♥
My husband once brought home a 2 X3 foot flat of sod for the cats because he felt sorry for them not being able to roll in grass. They didn’t eat it as much as just pull the tufts of grass out by the roots and spit them out. But they did get a lot of pleasure out of it!
Here I am with a cold cup of coffee reading BCN. My coffee was hot when I sat down but then our black kitty decided to see what would happen if he pushed the ceramic vase I had washed out off the kitchen counter. Once I finished cleaning that up and replacing the fresh water in the pet bowl now containing pottery shards, my coffee was cold and the BCN cats are contemplating mischief. Somehow not as amusing as usual….wonder why?
Good morning and happy Tuesday/Bluesday/Mewsday, orbsters and orbabies. I have to drag Paul down for weekly bloodwork once we have both had a coffee and I have gotten him to drink copious amounts of water so the technician can find a vein.
That last panel is hysterical. Maine Coons enjoy dining on plants. My husband once brought me a huge bouquet of flowers, and then took a bottle of ranch dressing out of the bag and put it in front of our first Maine Coon, Bamboo. I never laughed so hard in my life.
This is perfect artistry! I think Georgia knows that most of us read and view the cartoon very carefully, so as not to miss her remarkable detail. I think she just used this in her placement of Lupin in the last panel. Notice how Elvis and Puck are closer to each other than Lupin is to them. The eye jumps slightly to Lupin’s face, then you notice the bib—and spray coffee, tea, or whatever all over the monitor and keyboard …
That’s one helluva smart kitty to have words like that in its vocabulary! Heck, I was impressed the other day when one of mine just used the word “extenuating.”
Georgia tweeted about it. I visited it. It’s great! What is it? The Breaking Cat News Wiki!!!!! http://breakingcatnews.wikia.com/wiki/Breaking_Cat_News_Wiki

Welcome to Chez Plants – kitty vegan restaurant. May I interest sir in a freshly planted offering? Individually portioned and locally sourced.

Make a difference in some plant’s life Puck. Call now. A plant is depending on you. “Don’t just count on someone else doing it.”

Love Lupin’s lobster bib. So does he like his plants soft shell or hard? With or without drawn butter? Lazy or full on work for your meal?

Hey… if Lupin is tying on a bib, does that mean The Woman will be planting lettuce?

I leave the growing to the wife. She is Mrs. Sprout. As long as she grows food for me to cook, we make a perfect team.

I lost one of my little birds yesterday. :(
She was a little Society Finch, and she had the sweetest soft little call.
I’m going to miss the little fluff’s trilling in the mornings.

Lupin . . . you are most definitely NOT being a Good Boy now.

Well, things with the plants could be different this time. In theory, anyway.
Nah—never mind.
Made me chuckle.
