I don’t understand how that’s Goldie’s paw when the end looks like a red fingernail without any claws and the rest is dark gray.

Natasha figures that if he doesn’t notice the theft of his tape recorder, he is not going to miss another pencil. But what does Natasha do with all the pencils?

Some stories are just more breaking than others.

Dare I ask how Elvis got stuck in a drawer?

You should be more concerned about poucing upon mice and eating them, cats!

I’m sure Elvis had a perfectly (purrfectly?) good reason to be in that drawer.

I guess Goldie “borrowed” the recorder so she can tape a message on it. As for the pencil, Natasha is stealing it outright.

So the speech therapist came over for Paul yesterday. I am to puree his dinners (unless it’s a cream soup that’s already pureed) so he can get more calories in his system. I also have to look for the extra calorie Boost. I had made Shepherd’s pie for dinner last night. I’m going to try pureeing some of it tonight. I just hope it doesn’t end up looking too disgusting.

Elvis here, with breaking news…I have been (through no Fault of my own) captured by an evil, drawer…again…this stoic reporter does not know why this keeps happening…

So exactly how long is it going to take Puck and Lupin to break Mr. Angry Fussy Paws our of his prison drawer? Will this need a diagram plan? Tools? Finesse? Or just brute kitty strength?

Funny! I had just finished reading BCN and the comments. When I heard a noise I looked up to see my ginger cat Gremlin come in from the rain. And I said, “Hello, Gold—, er, Gremlin!” Steeped in the world of Breaking Cat News!

Feline witlessness is a constant problem. Our daughter, when she was in grade school, asked the important question. Do we want to cure it?

The good news is that Elvis chooses drawers, not dryers.

Natasha sure knows how to take advantage of someone not being aware of his surroundings.

This is supposed to be the last hot day, the official high at the airport was 94°F and I’m waiting for the sun to get down so it will cool off enough to run the vacuum cleaner without dissolving into a puddle of “glow”. Looking forward to the relief of tomorrow’s high of 79°F, as are the kitties.

It occurs to me that Natasha may be trying to save the pencil from being purloined.

Our first kitty Abby was nowhere to be found one day. I called and called. Finally I heard a tiny meow, seemingly from the living room desk. I pulled out the bottom drawer and out she popped…from underneath! She had squirmed behind the desk and then under it and could not extricate herself. She wouldn’t tell me why she went in there. I had to construct some barriers that made that feat impossible to repeat.

Am I the only one who hears June Foray’s Rocket J. Squirrel voice when Lupin says, “Again?”
