Hey Georgia. I’ve never written before but I must note that your homage to The Thing is really remarkable given 1) your age (too young!) 2) your gender (is that sexist?) and 3) your general vibe (insightful/cute/emotional) bias against being into a classic sci-fi/horror classic. Love the strip!

Okay, NEVER seen a tree stand like that one in the last panel. Looks like the ones we used to have when I was a kid placed into “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” in place of the chair Snoopy fought.

I once had a field-cut white pine at Christmastime that had a sizable gap midway up. So I cut out the gap and doweled the two halves back together. Looked lovely!
