We’re going to spend the week watching grass die?? Oh, boy … I suppose this is a bit more exciting than the Pitch Drop Experiment: the PDE was designed to show how some substances, which appear solid, are actually highly viscous fluids. It started in 1927, and, as of 2014, exactly 9 drops of pitch have formed and dropped from a funnel … I really hope it doesn’t take THAT long for the cat grass to wither … :-O
Lupin, you must report the news, and not become the news. So, just lard your spiel with “facts”, “statistics”, and “opinions” without regard for your audience’s intelligence!
When I woke up this morning, I found Sooti and Sunny curled up together on my chair. I wanted to take a picture, but by the time I had my camera out and ready, they’d woken up and moved off the chair.
O.T. The local peep toads must be very resilient—they’ve been in and out for the last month. They are awake this evening, but we have another cold front with wind and possible snow so another long winter’s nap is imminent. At least the cold keeps the stink bugs dormant…most of them, anyway. I guess insomnia strikes all species from time to time.

Well, you could be watching paint dry… But then Lupin would run across it, and then this would be “The Mystery of the Pawprints on the Ceiling”.

Lord Kelvin set up his diffusion experiment in 1872. It’s still running, but no one is monitoring it now.

I wonder if they will see a cause/effect relationship in that they’ve yet to observe anybody watering the grass?

Another Gerry and the Pacemakers tune: Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying
Don’t let the sun catch you napping
The night’s the time for a stakeout
The grass may wilt overnight
But tomorrow in the morning light
Don’t let the sun catch you napping!
…….
The pot of cat grass is still here
But it may soon disappear
If Lupin has his say,
The pot may fall away,
Don’t let the sun catch you napping!
…….
We know that napping’s not a bad thing
But stay awake while the birds sing!
…….
It may be hard to let the night pass,
But if you want to know what happens to the grass,
Then try to stay awake,
Or Lupin his move may make,
Please, don’t let the sun catch you napping!

What happened to Puck’s glasses? Panel one Puck looks like he’s wearing Groucho glasses. Panel three he’s back to wear sunglasses.
