Oh my, Elvis!! There will shortly be screaming, yelling, wailing and gnashing of teeth! Speaking of which, Yum Yum went through all of those this morning. I had the door ajar so she could go in and out, and the black tom who is her nemesis and sworn enemy waltzed in, as bold as you please. That lasted about 3 seconds. Yum Yum shortly came back, swaggering with pride at having chased him away yet one more time.
OFF TOPIC: PAUL
Paul and I had a long meeting with our family doctor and a palliative care doctor at the hospital yesterday. He has Stage 4 carcinoma in his jaw and lungs. He has at most, without treatment, 6 months to live with the ability to enjoy what is left and possible have a few last visits at the cabin. Treatment might add another few months, but he would be in and out of the hospital and suffering the side effects of radiation and chemo. Right now, we are thinking in terms of quality rather than quantity. The hospital is getting me the feeding and morphine pumps Paul needs to be kept comfortable, and he should be home by, hopefully, Monday at the latest.
