I read a story in a dog psychology book about a family with a dog with severe issues. The dog psychologist went into the home— five kids, loud music everywhere, everyone screamed to be heard, and it never stopped. He suggested they cut down drastically on the noise because it was too much for the dog to handle. They did. The dog and, surprisingly, the family was much happier. I think Elvis has reached the cat version of too much noise.
The very first thing I thought of was a story from Japanese mythology where the sun goddess holed herself up in a cave because the god of storms was wreaking havoc. Not on the moon, though. Maybe Elvis can join the rabbit there and make rice cakes.
It seems that both the Moon and Mars are entirely populated by robots. Those on Venus died quickly. Even solid Russian engineering couldn’t take the strain.
Perhaps Burt’s barn or Baba’s chicken coop might be a bit quieter. I’d suggest a visit with Beatrix at the book store, but I don’t think Elvis has the personality required of a book store cat.
Well, Tortimer is just doing his job, so no complaint there. But Birdy Drone doing that fly-by was really unwarranted, and in some areas considered an act of provication and solicitation to make war.
Elvis’ reaction, to ignore them and move off is a peaceful resolution if the other players do not continue their provication.
If they do, Scream “Havoc!” and unleash the Cats-of-war, Goldie and Lupin to battle your enemies…see them driven before you, and hear the lamintations of their women (robots)
“When this song was written by Bart Howard in 1954, it had a title ‘In Other Words’.
Frank Sinatra’s 1964 version was associated with the Apollo missions to the moon: it became the first music heard on the moon when Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin played it on a portable cassette player after he stepped onto its surface."
Georgia posted on Facebook and Instagram that Burt found some footage from 1991 when Baba Mouse was a reporter. The frame she shows has a date of July 10 so next month we get to see young Baba doing reporting, can’t wait.
Well known fact. Lunar caves are all chock full of robots. The caves have no life forms or machines that prey on robots. Sadly, the robots are responsible for the extinction of lunar mice.
I’ve been through just about every summer weather warning on the books in the past hour. My weather radio is programmed to automatically come on when an alert starts and shut off 5 minutes later. But as soon as all the details of one warning were done, another one was starting up. Severe storm warning for my county, 2 separate tornado warnings for my town, and flash flood warning for my county. The first tornado went just about 3 miles to the NE. The second one came within about 5 miles to the SW. The flash flood happened to the farm across the road. The lower cornfield is covered in water. The farm lane has washed out. I can hear the gravel (that was in the driveway) crunching when cars drive over the road. I took my laptop down to the basement and hunkered down under the stairway.
So far no reports on damage, but the tornado that was headed this way was showing a debris field when it was spotted on radar. Earlier in the evening the area 2 counties to the north had a tornado touchdown that did severe damage to a farm, killing cattle and goats.
Anybody need some adrenaline? I seem to have an excess amount running through my system still.

For As Time Goes By Fans: Thunder and the Moon
Giorgi the Shepherd: I am alone with my sheep, but my sheep are not alone with me.
Elvis: What’s that supposed to mean?
Giorgi: I don’t know, but doesn’t it sound profound?
Elvis: Not really.
Giorgi: I guess it sounded better in the original Romanian.
Elvis: All I wanted was a place to be alone and read my newspaper.
Giorgi: This place is as good as any, if you don’t mind the occasional bleat.
Elvis: By the way, don’t you become a sheep at the end of this story?
Giorgi: I tried, but I just couldn’t develop a taste for grass.

Fly me to the moon
Let me read among the stars
Let me see what life is like
Without chaos near and far
In other words: hold the noise
In other words: baby, dignity
Fill my days with peace
And be quiet for ever more
That is what I wish for
It’s the mayhem I abhor
In other words: “Love Shack” – not!
In other words: stop robots
