Let that member of the press pass, Woman!

One of the cutest things I’ve seen recently is a video from someone who’s teaching her cat to use those talking buttons. The cat asked for “puzzle. toy. play”; human said not yet, soon, I’m working. The cat thought about it for a moment, then went and deliberately pressed “work. Yucky.”

This job calls for a plastic tent around the newly discovered door, kevlar coveralls, and a full-face respirator! (And the requisite decontamination supplies…)

What happens when you press on it, Elvis?

I am so starting a baroque psychedelic folk group called Edwardian Wall Dust.

Edwardian wall dust is kind of stylish.

It’s time for Invisible Lupin to sneak past the broom and inspect the room…

Edwardian wall dust is bad. What is behind the door is much, much worse.

Oh, there’s Lupin. And Mrs Woman’s right to be concerned considering the situation.

The Woman should pull out the vacuum. It would serve double duty: 1) suck up the wall dust and 2) keep the cats away from said wall dust.

Could someone open that door please???

Does the Woman truly believe that a mere broom will keep cats away from this?

I’m waiting for Lupin and Goldie to have one of their investigative reporter showdowns over who gets to cover the mystery of the uncovered door.

I’m glad Lupin is defending the role of the press.

I’m also hoping it’s the Amber Room, against all logic.

What is Lupin doing at the desk? Clearly they need a man on the scene who won’t be thrown off by brooms. Elvis should check and make sure his press pass is all-access next time.

Curiosity isn’t just for cats. Everybody wants to know what’s behind the hidden door.

Edwardian wall dust! Oh, the horror. Victorian wall dust, however, now that would be something.

Where is Geraldo Rivera when we need him most??? Oh the irony of it all.

I am quite familiar with Edwardian wall dust… The Manor was built in 1900.

I won’t know what to think if Geraldo Rivera is in there. :)

I think cats have a word comprehension similar to a 2 yr old child.

Dust can be very harmful to cats and their servants.

Well, I have to say I agree with the Woman’s priority to clean up the plaster first. A broom though? That’s going to fill the air with dust!

(To be fair though – my vacuum cleaner would fill the air with the dust too!)
