It’s arcs like these that make the slow pacing of a comic strip absolutely nervewracking as I just want to get to what’s next.. and are the hardest after binging an entire strip as I can’t just.. keep going and finally meet the boy and girl. Who will probably show up properly saturday for the cliffhanger.
Called it (sort of)! Bet you anything that the mysterious cats are in the addition, which will bring ghosts and the old house mystery back in the story. I cannot express how excited I am!! Can it be tomorrow already?!

Elvis and Puck are going to wear out their poof muscles! Glad to see Beatrix is keeping Crinkle Crab safe.

What could be yowling in the wall?
Brian Premium Member about 2 years ago
Young lady, mind your language. No, wait, “bullfrogs” is okay.
Le'letha Premium Member about 2 years ago
…coming from the wall? So the call of the mysterious escapee kittens is coming from…
GASP!
inside the house?
Georgia, way to foreshadow. I love it.

Yowels from the wall….what is happening?!
ctlum about 2 years ago
Lupin is not bothered at all by the yowling. I guess sometimes it pays to be deaf?
Robin Harwood about 2 years ago
You see a monster, you hear about escapees, and then you can sleep?

The wall of the room, or the wall outside where we first met Burt? There’s an important difference!
Ricky Bennett about 2 years ago
Oh, no! A bullfrog night means that somebody might CROAK!!!

Lupin is blithely unware! Oh the joys of being hearing impaired. ❤️

That’s proper kitten cuteness, Bea snuggled up with her crab.

And Lupin peacefully sleeps through all the noises XD

Interesting mock curse from Bea there. And someone wake Lupin so he can be terrified too!

Beatrix, how is a crinkly crab cuddly? Puck gives a poof tail in the face to Beatrix. Elvis, good job not falling off the crib rail.

Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith: Because the Night
Monster sightings and two escapees
Curl up close, kitties, and try to sleep
Lupin has it right, just go to sleep
There is a danger we just don’t need!
…….
Come on now, try and get some sleep
This whole night seems like a lot of bleep
Never mind the monsters, try and snooze
They can’t hurt you now
Can’t hurt you now, can’t hurt you now
…….
Even though the night has gone all bullfrogs
But still the night belongs to us
Even though the night has gone all bullfrogs
But still the night belongs to us
……
Never worry, you’re not alone
Woman gets updates on her telephone
The monsters well not escape with us
So let’s try to sleep until morning comes
…….
Come on now, try and get some sleep
This whole night seems like a lot of bleep
Never mind the monsters, try and snooze
They can’t hurt you now
Can’t hurt you now, can’t hurt you now
…….
Even though the night has gone all bullfrogs
But still the night belongs to us
Even though the night has gone all bullfrogs
But still the night belongs to us

Bullfrogs? Reference to “Bullfrog Blues” by William Harris?

I forgot for a moment Lupin is deaf.

“Jeremiah was a bullfrog!
Was a good friend of mine,
Never understood a single word he said,
but I helped him to drink the wine" —"Joy to the World," by Three Dog Night
Some how seems appropriate.
