So, not only do the Woman and the Man have Destry, it seems that it can communicate with the cats here, too. Interesting!

Burt certainly has his finger on the pulse of the news. He knows about the toaster and its evil ways.

My Gracie is also great friends with my wifi-enabled oven. I’m pretty sure they text each other. LOL I think she refers to it as birther of chicken. But my Dyson stick vac is the evil dragon.

The BCN crew will only accept the toaster once it’s proven its worthiness. The marketing geniuses of the pet supply industry need to invent tuna-flavored pop tart kitty treats.

They are wild about the Roomba!?? Oh, dear. Our kitty hates the Roomba with a passion. She runs and hides under the bed when she hears it. I think she knows the Roomba destroys all her efforts in leaving fur everywhere in the house.

The vacuum, however…..

My Roomba and I sometimes have issues. She keeps running out of juice under my bed or the couch, and when going from floor to carpet, she often leaves a smatterinog of smutch along the edge. And a simple thank you for me pulling all that hair off her brushes would be nice.

Eh but what bout the vaccuum cleaner?

I remember the Flying Toasters screensaver. The sight of a never ending horde of toasters could only mean doom.

I don’t think the toaster is evil as much as it’s the terrible two year old toddler of the appliance world. Kind of like our Tiny Terrorist Two Year Old granddaughter is into throwing everything.

Can I put a little plug in for the Destrys here? I have a few in my house and when my 98yo father in law started to fail a bit, (served in the Pacific in WWII) we got him an alert button to wear around his neck. I also got two Destrys for his house, 40 miles away, and connected them to my system here at home so if I get an alert that he’s fallen or the button has been pushed, I can say “Destry, drop in on Dad 1 or Dad 2” from any room in my house and it immediately connects to him. The speakers are far ranging so he’s not looking for his cell phone or heaven forbid, if he’s on the floor talking to the button people, I can hear that before I talk to him. They’ve been a godsend for us. And they play music!

The vacuum cleaner, on the other hand… :P

Every time I clip my nails, it makes my cat jump. Even when she’s watching she jumps from every clip XD

Yesterday, when we left for a doc appointment, I gave Beau two treats, which I always do when we leave. I never noticed before, but the star shaped ones look exactly like Little Star Squeaker! Right down to the smile. It’s a good thing they’re only treats because I hesitated giving them to him for a moment, but they are only treats, right?

And, Evil Toasters, would be a great name for a rock band! (Thanks, Dave Barry!)

I think Burt may be onto something. I’ve owned a number of toasters over the decades. And all of them have burnt my toast at some point. Coincidence? I think not.

Burt never misses! On the other hand, I would have Elvis’ toaster reaction if I were that close to the microwave when it beeped.

Oh come now. Pay attention cats and kittens. Most cats love bread, the toaster is spitting out warmed bread. Take what the toaster pukes up and eat it. Then the toaster will be your friend.

It’s empty calories to cats, but bread does taste good to cats. Just don’t let your cats eat too much if they get hold of a slice, as it is also filling, so they may not have room to eat a proper, protein laden diet they need.

I think I shall have a slice of toast in a little while, well-butterd and augmented with Lyle’s golden syrup (courtesy of Amazon).

What about…. the VACUUM CLEANER ???

My favorite way of making toast is to butter the bread & then toast it in the cast-iron skillet. It’s a rare treat for me though. #DiabeticProblems

This cartoon doesn’t really do evil. Even Tidy Woman was just grieving for her pet and was an idiot. The only evil character I recall is the owl.

I had a contentious relationship with a Jack-in-the-box as a small lad…

Heck, all toasters are evil. It’s like those monstrosities have minds of their own.

Puddin Update: Sir Richard the Squirrely, and Puddin have officially moved to Wilmette, she is settled in now that the furniture has arrived.

I still have my first toaster, a gift from my mom’s S&H Green stamps in the mid 1970s. It still works perfectly, and has a cover from my grandmother – yellow with red trim and a cross stitched teapot on a table with black and gold trim. Every time I ee it I remember them both with love. Best yet, the toast always comes out perfectly.

We had one car who liked being vacuumed. The others have been unanimous that the vacuum is an eldritch horror, worse even than Other Cats and toddlers.

What Lady Bri said!!! If you aren’t on Georgia’s Patreon, you’re really missing out! She posts these incredible videos of her creating her works, which is amazing enough (how DOES she come up with all these ideas!?), but she sets the videos to music that is just perfect for the setting. She did one of her drawing the Cool Cricket Guy serenading the BPH, and another of the outside creatures enjoying the big ol’ tree blossoming in the back yard, and I’ve watched them repeatedly. I joined as soon as she created it, and I’m so glad I did.

Wait haven’t they realized Tortimer the Roomba is a relative of the vacuum?
